Apple to make a smaller iPhone that is affordable to all?

So there are speculations that Apple will be releasing an iPhone model that will be smaller and cheaper. No one has any information on about what size it would be but it makes sense that Apple will be releasing a more affordable version of it's premium offering. This is to combat Android which has product offerings for all classes. Rumor has it that the smaller iPhone would cost about $200-300 (P9000-13500) off contract. It sounds so unbelievable because for one thing, the Ipod touch 8GB and 32GB falls at the same price point. I'm pegging it at around $300. Still unbelievable but Steve Jobs has a knack for making an unbelievable idea into something awesome. Ofcourse, that price is in the United States and so when it reaches the Philippines it will retail for about P18000 or so.

Check out below for images of Phone size comparisons. I'm guessing the smaller iPhone would have a 3.0 screen instead of 3.5. It might come in the size of the Sony X8 or even the size of the original Ipod Classic.

The Battle of the Tablets: HP TouchPAd Vs. Apple iPAD Vs. Motorola Xoom Vs. Blackberry Playbook

We are waiting ofcourse for an official announcement of Apple's tablet contender for 2011, and they cannot make the mistake of not releasing one because as you see from the comparison table, the iPad is the relative underperformer in terms of features and specs.

As for me, I'm torn between them all, and actually even excited for the iPad 2. Who ever offers the most price-friendly feature packed and highly specced device will win this game though, of course. I've got dibs on the Playbook and the iPad 2. The MotoPad seems too expensive based on rumors kasi eh.

Check out the tablets as featured in their official webpages.

Canon Unleashes the Rebel T3 and T3i.

"The EOS Rebel T3 will ship at the end of March with a EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II zoom lens for $599.99, offering up a 12.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, DIGIC 4 Imaging processor, nine-point autofocus system and a 63-zone dual-layer metering system. You'll need to provide your own SD, SDHC or SDXC card, but unlike entry-level bodies of the past, this guy will capture full-motion video at 1280 x 720. There's an ISO range of 100 to 6,400, a pop-up flash and a newfangled Basic+ non-technical interface that should help beginners grow accustomed to more technical aspects of photography without the steep learning curve." - Engadget

"On the other side of things,  the new Rebel T3i, which boasts an 18 megapixel CMOS sensor, an ISO range of 100 to 6,400, support for SD / SDHC / SDXC cards, DIGIC 4 Imaging processor, pop-up flash, integrated Speedlite settings (to go along with a few new Speedlite flashes also introduced today) and a tilt / swivel LCD monitor will ship at the start of March for $799.99 (body only), or $899.99 bundled with a EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II zoom lens. Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 Released

"It's finally here, folks. The Chronic Dev Team has put out the latest version of greenpois0n that allows you to free your iDevice running 4.2.1. What's different about this jailbreak? Glad you asked. This time 'round, the program will let you perform an untethered jailbreak -- you can finally reboot the device without having to re-jailbreak. Be warned though -- this build was rushed out and we haven't tested any devices on our end. At the time of this writing, the software is only available for Mac. Oh, and unlockers, don't update to 4.2.1 if you plan on swapping sim cards in the future. Hit the source link to get started." - Engadget.com

Official pictures and specs sheet of the Sony Next-Gen PSP!

"You know that crazy next-gen PSP (NGP) with multiple touchpads, dual analog sticks, and quadrupled resolution that Sony just trotted out? Yeah, it's got a quad-core Cortex-A9 and a quad-core Imagination Technologies PowerVR SGX543MP4+ GPU doing the grunt work within. We've never seen a handheld this powerful. Then again, considering the darn thing won't be launching until this holiday season, maybe quad-core parts will be the least Sony will need in order to match up to the "super phones" coming up this year. We're just wondering how long any of these souped-up portables will last on a charge. Full spec sheet after the break."
